Barcelona
Barcelona was a welcome change after Paris. Warm, sunny, and the people smell good (really!).
Our hotel is in the Gothic quarter right on La Rambla (a wide pedestrian walkway with numerous vendors and sights). La Boqueria is just down the street. It's a fantastic market with fresh everything: fruits, veggies, fish, foul, meat, bread...
The area is crisscrossed with alleyways and pedistrian streets. Shops of all types. very cool to explore!

Paris
We took the high speed train from Amsterdam to Paris (see GPS photo for speed). The food shot is from the train. Great filet, veggies, etc., but is was served ice cold straight from the fridge. No heating at all. Not sure if that was a mistake or not! Our room was TINY as you can see from the photo. The beds were smaller than twin beds. The shot of our feet is in the hotel elevator. Barely enough room for two of us. The Louvre was fantastic. I loved the buildings more than the art. Overall, we saw what we wanted to see, it was cold and rainy, so we left for Barcelona a day early. So, that's where we are now. We made the right decision. sunny and in the 60's here. Super hotel right in the middle of Las Ramblas (google it). Really fun here. Stay tuned for more... (remember, you can click on the photos to see bigger versions!)
